There isn't much to this policy because there isn't much for us to hold: the website itself keeps nothing about you, and everything else about a repair follows ordinary sense and Malaysian law.
This website
macbookrepairkl.com has no login, no account and no form that sends your details anywhere. The WhatsApp buttons across the site simply open WhatsApp on your own phone with a message already typed in; nothing about that click is logged on our server.
The one thing the site remembers is whether you prefer light or dark mode, and that preference is stored only in your own browser, never sent back to us.
Analytics are switched off by default. If we ever turn one on to see how the site is used, it will be set up to report anonymised, aggregate numbers rather than track individual visitors, and this page will be updated to say so first.
WhatsApp, calls and email
Anything you send us on WhatsApp, over the phone or by email is used only to arrange or discuss your repair, and stays between you and iPRO Ampang. We don't forward it outside the shop or use it for anything else.
Your device and data during a repair
A Mac that comes in for repair often has photos, documents and accounts sitting on it, and we handle that carefully under Malaysia's Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA). Our technicians test the hardware and the operating system; going through your personal files is not part of any repair.
A few Apple Silicon repairs need your Apple ID password to finish. You are the one who types it in at the counter, on your own device; we don't ask for it in writing and don't handle it ourselves.
Your rights under PDPA
You can ask what repair-related information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to stop using it beyond finishing the job it was collected for. Since the website itself stores nothing, this mostly concerns records kept in the shop, such as your name, phone number and the Mac model you brought in.
